Pantone: The blending of 2 shades

Every year Pantone, the internationally recognised colour experts, choose a colour to represent the mood of the year. This year, Pantone have chosen two colours to share the honour of being the 2016 Pantone Colour of the Year: Serenity and Rose Quartz.

Soft and feminine, Rose Quartz is a dusty pink hue that is comforting and warm. When partnered with Serenity, a cooler colour reminiscent of the sky, the pair work harmoniously to create a sense of balance; a yin and yang, if you will.

Rose Quartz is likely to be the colour of the two that really takes off. It pairs flawlessly against greys and is predicted to be a huge colour trend within home décor and furnishings come Autumn/Winter 2016.

We have taken inspiration from both Rose Quartz and Serenity to bring you some of our favourite products that celebrate these beautiful hues.

My name is Domenica, but my tribe call me Dom. I’ve written for a number of successful and popular Australian blogs, and I have experience working in both education and the media. I have a slight (ahem) shopping addiction, but I prefer to think of it as an ethical contribution to the growth of the economy. I am fuelled by a love of art, photography, home interiors, trashy television and my family (not in that order).
