Winter is the perfect time for relaxing in our surroundings and enjoying the comforts of home life. Here are our top three picks for the interior colour trends of 2017.

Black + Gold

A perfect match for cooler climates, black and gold is a winter pairing we are really looking forward to seeing more of. Matte black and gold is a sophisticated choice; edgy with a touch of glam. We especially love the use of this colour pairing in unexpected décor picks such as cutlery and serving ware.

Winter Colour Forecast Coast To Coast

As pictured: This matte graphite black and gold cutlery set works beautifully on a modern tablescape. Pair it with marble platters and serving ware for a luxe statement, or pair it with wooden serving ware that will bring an earthy element to this combo. Or mix both together as shown here. Jungle Green

No doubt inspired by Pantone’s Colour of the Year, Greenery, 2017 will see the rising of botanical themed colours in homewares and décor pieces this winter. Representing new beginnings and rebirth, the colour green is perfect for use with another popular interiors trend: all things jungle. Think bold leaf prints, jungle animals and, of course, a dash of leopard. Indoor plants will also make a huge comeback, with the trendy Fiddle Leaf Fig and the hardy Peace Lily being two of our favourites.

Winter Colour Forecast Post Creatively Active Minds

As pictured: We love how Creatively Active Minds (CAM) have created an veritable feast for the eyes with their nature inspired collection – incorporating leaves, cacti, animals and brass objects. This is a worldly, eclectic theme that can give a home a real sense of its adventurous owners. (Image via: Creatively Active Minds).

Jewel Tones + Velvet

When it comes to jewel tones, think rich green, deep blue, regal purple and timeless grey. Pair these colourways with velvet, the luxe choice come autumn and winter decorating, and you will bring a rich, tactile element to your interiors. Bringing a sense of warmth to a room, furniture pieces in jewel-toned velvet also create the ultimate statement of grandeur in a living room.

Winter Colour Forecast Post Amalfi Homewares

The Amalfi range of luxe velvet cushions (seen in our top feature image) and their grand velvet Monica Armchair (seen above) will make a grand statement in your living room.
