Linen is a natural fibre, made from the stalk of a flax plant. Many generations have loved Linen and appreciated the qualities found only in 100% pure Linen.
The best thing about Linen sheets is the feeling you get when you slip inside them. Linen sheets just feel luxurious and give that sense of quality. They are a breathable fabric, making them warm in winter and cool in summer.
Linen sheets are bacteria resistant, ventilating, moisture absorbent and anti-allergic, they are durable and long lasting, as well as environmentally friendly. Sleeping in pure linen sheets is a sensory experience like no other; they are both smooth and textured giving a feeling of quality that has been enjoyed for generations.
However, it’s the look as well as the feel that has us raving about linen.
We love the casual relaxed look they give to a bedroom.
When dressing your bed with Linen always think layering. Using one colour for the fitted sheet and another for the top is bang on trend. You can let your imagination run wild but using sheets of similar tones works best. Add a chunky throw and cushions and your bed will be oozing personality.
Linen sheets are an investment, however if you do decide to buy yourself a set of linen sheets we recommend buying a top sheet that is one size larger, for example if you have a queen sized bed buy a king sized top sheet. This will make the bed easier to make and allows for any shrinkage. Do the same with the doona, buying a doona one size up will make the bed look more luxurious and give that cozy feel.
Good quality 100% linen sheets soften the more they are used and washed. They are extremely durable and if cared for correctly can last for decades.
