Held twice a year, MAISON&OBJET is the leading European home decor fair, which connects the international interior design and lifestyle community in all its rich and varied expressions.
Across five days, more than 85,000 visitors discover 1000s of products showcased by 3,200 brands from around the world.
Spanning nine halls, MAISON&OBJET presents a 360° product offering divided into 3 worlds:
- MAISON: full-on interior design
- OBJET: the absolutely essential
- INFLUENCES: from the unique to the bespoke
Reconfiguration of the Objet hub
This September, the new Objet hub will be unveiled, showcasing three major sectors: Cook&Share, Home&Fashion Accessories and Smart Gift – reflecting the changes sweeping the retail business.
The hub means finer segmentation, bold strategic choices, and an at-a-glance overview of the offerings – renewing the retail experience. The number of sectors within the Objet Hub has been reduced to three straightforward, cleverly divided areas.
This year MAISON&OBJET enables visitors to explore new paths and make priceless discoveries. Transition areas, marking the entry and exit of every sector, spotlight can’t-miss items on display and show visitors the kind of discoveries to expect for increased visiting efficiency.
Rising Talents Awards
Since its inception, MAISON&OBJET PARIS has consistently provided a stage for emerging talent.
Twice a year, the Rising Talents Awards display a sample of the next generation that will lead design trends. The winners are invited to exhibit their latest creations on a dedicated stand – a much-awaited event for professionals who visit the fair in search of fresh talent.
MAISON&OBJET is commited to promoting excellence, innovation, quality, inspiration and creativity. For the upcoming fair, held on 8-12 September 2017, MAISON&OBJET is proud to announce its Rising Talents, all graduates of the prestigious École Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle (ENSCI – Les Ateliers)*.
The Rising Talents are: Claire Lavabre, Alexandre Échasseriau, Julien Phedyaeff & Christopher Santerre, Luce Couillet, Lysandre Graebling, Samy Rio, Raphaël Pluvinage & Marion Pinaffo, and Jean-Baptiste Fastrez.
Designer of the Year
MAISON&OBJET honours the most outstanding names on the international design and interiors scene by electing a Designer of the Year for each show.
The Designer chosen for this award reflects the specific focus of each of the two annual events: product design in January and architecture-interior design in September.
After Pierre Charpin in January 2017, MAISON&OBJET has chosen to celebrate the interior architect Tristan Auer in September 2017.
At each edition of the trade show, the Observatoire de MAISON&OBJET defines a pioneering trend to inspire visitors’ imaginations. In September, visitors will meet the COMFORT ZONE. Faced with a world of instability, in an environment where we don’t feel safe anymore, our desire for physical and mental tranquility invites shapes to become more enveloping, reassuring and protective.
Materials vie with each other for the title of softest, a palette of soft pastels and pale pinks wash away tensions and innovative new technologies serve the cause of well-being. This 100% feel-good theme is presented in hall 7 in an exhibition designed by François Bernard, Agence Croisements. Be inspired!
It is high time to take on board the new parameters of how to live ‘the good life’ at home…
