Summer is finally here; the glorious season where we take more time to enjoy special time with friends and family. There’s nothing more relaxing than a sunny afternoon spent in good company, enjoying good food and perhaps a cheeky glass of wine.

Here are some gorgeous homewares brands to get your 2016-17 summer entertaining off to a spectacular start.

Mint Home

Summer Entertaining - Mint Home

Mint Home are known for their laid back, minimalist aesthetic. Food and beverages take centre stage on the table, with the beautiful servingware working effortlessly to make it all look even more appealing.

We love the Mint Oslo Carafe for serving drinks – add water, ice and some and lime lemon wedges to quench that summer thirst. Or perhaps use it serve up a lovely sangria mixed up from a base of red wine, a splash of marsala, some lemonade and a fruit medley of blueberries and strawberries. That’s a perfect summer afternoon, right there.

Habitat 101

The clever folk over at Habitat 101 have a huge range of on-trend entertaining pieces that won’t break the bank. From bowls, plates, mugs and servingware, there is a coordinated range to suit any home.

Indigo remains a huge colour trend through summer, and Habitat 101’s range of Novali serving ware has the perfect mix of on-trend indigo and clean white. We love the Novali paint spot platters, paired with the small bowls and small plates, for serving up a scrumptious dip, cheese and pita bread spread.

Darlin Australia

When it comes to summer food shared between friends, you cannot go past a classic Italian antipasto platter. Rustic food is always best served up on earthy, wooden servingware such as the eco-friendly Acacia range from Darlin Australia.

We love the way that Bella Catering and Events have presented their amazing antipasto platters on Darlin’s beautifully tactile Acacia Square Boards. Just delicious!
