You’ve got to love a product that is simple in design but high in functionality. Sometimes all it takes is a small change to make a huge difference to our ability to live our lives with ease and comfort. Designed to make a huge point of difference to those who spend a significant amount of time on smartphones, ipads, etc. is the Australian Made GALA Product of the Year: the padpod™.

padpod™ was first born when Ellie Jane was looking to help her grandmother find a way to easily read on her iPad, at a more comfortable angle. When family and friends saw the product and immediately put in requests for their own padpod™, Ellie Jane knew she was onto a winner. Together with the help of her mum Jenny, an occupational therapist, the padpod™ was refined to provide optimum comfort, support and safety and began commercial production.

Offering clever pyramid-shaped support, the padpod™ is designed to help prop up and support the use of technology products such as iPads, E-readers, smartphones and other tablet devices used to watch movies, play games, read books or just surf the web. Made right here in Australia, to the highest quality standards, the padpod™ is designed to help you use your device more comfortably whilst in bed, in your car, at a table, on the couch – or anywhere really! It’s also great to know that it is produced with ethical garment making certification.

The padpod™’s support, however, isn’t just limited to technology. You can take it with you on your travels to provide neck support, use it to help you support yourself whilst breast-feeding, or use it to prop up a cookbook as you whip up some culinary delights in the kitchen. The opportunities are endless!

The padpod™ team will be showcasing their innovative product at Reed Gift Fairs Melbourne August, 6 – 10 August 2016, on Stand SG1140.

My name is Domenica, but my tribe call me Dom. I’ve written for a number of successful and popular Australian blogs, and I have experience working in both education and the media. I have a slight (ahem) shopping addiction, but I prefer to think of it as an ethical contribution to the growth of the economy. I am fuelled by a love of art, photography, home interiors, trashy television and my family (not in that order).
