Fashion is a work of art and 2015 has revealed an amazing marriage of art concepts for the latest spring/summer collections.
From Popism to Avant-garde Minimalism to the soft tones of Monett, this season has drawn inspiration from all forms of the art world.
Here’s a look at this year’s most trending themes:
This brightly coloured trend saw prints and patterns take centre stage. Led by designers like Chanel, Prada, Celine and Preen, Avant pop has revived our favourite retro looks in a wonderful homage to all things Warhol.
It’s all about monochromatic pallets and progressive Cubist themes in the ultra-mod style of Formula Solution. The look unveiled itself at the likes of Fendi, Helmut Lang and Yigal Azrouel playing with block styles and various textures to create unique looks.
La vie en Rose
Soft florals and delicate designs make up La Vie en Rose, a beautifully feminie trend carried by the likes of Matthew Williamson, Giambattista Valli and Mary Katrantzou. The trend brings back a flowing assortment of fabric and a soft pastel colour pallet.
